Connie and her team of adventurers are off on an exciting journey to the moon, led by Hazel—a former soldier and all-round adventure seeker. Along the way, Connie faces her own fears about going away on a camping trip without her mum.
Connie welcomes a special guest adventurer, Hazel, A brave soul with a history in the army and a stint as a Redcoat entertainer, Hazel embodies courage and curiosity. She’s the perfect person to inspire Connie, who’s feeling nervous about her upcoming camping trip. When Hazel suggests travelling to the moon, things start to take off—literally!
Hazel: You’ll have a great time if you embrace the adventure! We don’t have to go to the moon though, if you really don’t want to? We could always go somewhere else?
Connie: No, it’s ok. It’s your Armchair Adventure. Let’s do it! I don’t know about camp, but a journey of the imagination to the moon – with all my lovely customers, I can definitely do that!
And how will they get into space? Well at NASA, of course! The gang sneak into the rocket ship base, and with a little help from Jessie, a friendly NASA engineer, the team is granted access to a retired rocket. It needs a little spruce up, but that’s okay, the gang get to work!
Next is astronaut training, Hazel puts the gang through some rigorous gym exercises, so they will all be prepared for their trip into space!
The gang then sneak into the locker rooms, where they all get suited and booted in their astronaut suits. Pauline was very disappointed hers couldn’t be purple!
As they are boarding the spaceship, the adventurers realise they don’t have any food! However will they survive without a biscuit or two!? Connie saves the day by running to get all the freeze-dried snacks that she can carry. But oh no! She is caught on CCTV by the big NASA boss. Will he let them take off? You’ll have to find out!
